Zero pressure systems

DESCRIPTION

The Rollex Multi-Drive board (RMD board) simplifies the use of zero pressure systems. The internal logic of the RMD card controls the motors in such a way that they transport the conveyed materials without pressure or contact.

By simply combining the individual components with the controller board (modular system), complex systems can be put into production quickly and cost-effectively, and any number of RMD boards can be installed one after the other.

The zero pressure circuit has internal logic. It is able to communicate with other accumulation spaces to regulate the optimum material flow. The drive is only switched on when the conveyed material is about to pass through the light barrier of the conveying section. After exiting, the drive switches off automatically.

FEATURES
  • Contact between conveyed items is prevented, so that package handling can be applied. In other words, the detection of individual conveyed materials is carried out by the Rollex Multi-Drive card (RMD card) using photoelectric sensors. In this case, it is not necessary to switch the switching outputs, as standard PNP and NPN outputs can be used. The transport direction can be approved centrally via a shared control signal. The logical control direction changes automatically with the direction of rotation of the motors and can be defined in advance via the rotary encoder switch. Optionally, control via a standard bus system (e.g. Profibus) is also possible.

    The motor function is equipped with an operating time monitor (blocking protection). If a motor is switched off, it is blocked by the runtime monitor (approx. 10 seconds) until its light barrier is released.
